The development of the tourism sector is one of the priorities in Asahan Regency, which has a variety of potential

tourist attractions. However, in selecting a suitable tourist destination, tourists are often faced with difficulties due

to the many choices and differences in characteristics in each location. Therefore, a Decision Support System

(DSS) is needed that can assist the selection process by providing objective, accurate recommendations based on

user preferences. This study aims to design and implement a DSS for selecting tourist attractions in Asahan

Regency using the TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) and AHP (Analytic

Hierarchy Process) methods. The AHP method functions to determine the weight of criteria based on the level of

importance, while TOPSIS is used to evaluate and rank alternative tourist attractions. The evaluation criteria used

in this system include accessibility, facilities, tourist attractions, security, and comfort, each of which has a weight

according to user preferences. This system not only makes it easier for tourists to determine the most suitable

destination, but also helps related parties in the management and development of more targeted tourist destinations.

The results of the implementation show that the combination of the TOPSIS and AHP methods is able to produce

accurate and reliable tourist attraction rankings. With this SPK, it is hoped that tourism in Asahan Regency can

develop more optimally and be able to attract more tourists.
