Abstract
Thermal comfort in the Serambi Indonesia Daily production room has a significant impact on work productivity, especially due to the heat generated by industrial machines. The lack of openings and the characteristics of the Lhokseumawe climate also contribute to the thermal comfort of the space. The research aims to evaluate the level of room thermal comfort using ASHRAE standards through the PMV (Predicted Mean Vote) and PPD (Predicted Percentage of Dissatisfied) scales. This research applies quantitative methods with a descriptive and evaluative approach using CBE Thermal Comfort Tool software to analyze data. The analysis results show that the PMV value is around 1.98, which in the PMV index is included in the "Warm" category, with a PPD value of around 75%. Interview results also showed that more than 20% of employees felt uncomfortable. Based on PMV, PPD, and interview results, it can be concluded that the thermal comfort conditions in the Serambi Indonesia Daily production room are not comfortable. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize mechanical solutions by using artificial ventilation systems to increase air circulation.
